My 2D Comp Final. Which... I think I can hands down say is my VERY best piece of art yet. 30 hours of work, 19x24" paper, and a HECK of a lotta thinking, planning, and working. I'm pretty durned proud of this. You have no idea. <3
This whole thing was done in Prismacolor colored pencil... in a style mimicking the style of Maria Tomasula (look her up- she's amazing), since the assignment was to mimic the style of an established artist but with our own subject matter.
SO... basically this whole thing is a very Corpus-and-Gail-esk allegory about spirituality and love, and how human interpretations of both can completely mess up the connection between the two. Everything in the picture stands for something- ohhhh, me and my symbolism. x3
(...I may try and get a better photo, soon. This one just doesn't do it justice. At all.)
Snap - that's GORGEOUS The colouring looks beautiful - the shading and highlights on the leaves makes me happy. And the butterfly and crow feathers are contrast'y, in an awesome way ^^ The flowers are preeetty (/lack of vocab)

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
